Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
This command is vital because it does three things:
- It commands us to study
It tells us why to study
It tells us how to study
Only by obeying this command, the precursor to the commentary on humanity in 2 Timothy chapter 3, can we be certain to avoid the heresies and apostasy that are inevitable and rampant today.

The Bible must be “Rightly Divided.” That means that the divisions of Scripture must be understood, based on what the Scripture says. Only God’s word can be tested against itself in this manner. The divisions allow us to discern which parts were “written for our learning,” and which parts are applicable directly to us for doctrine now. 2 Timothy 3:162 Timothy 3:16

WP-Bible plugin says that all scripture is profitable for doctrine, but that does not mean that it is always profitable for your doctrine. Indeed, the specific details of the Dispensations and Covenants of Scripture will be dealt with carefully and thoroughly throughout Ruckmanites.com.
